WEEKLY INSPIRATION: GUY KAWASAKI

If the name Kawasaki doesn't mean anything to you other than motorcycles, it's high time you started keeping an eye on this young man! Currently based in Silicon Valley, he is Canva's current Chief Evangelist, in addition to being a brand ambassador for Mercedes Benz and an impressively long list of other activities. In the past, he has served as Apple's Chief Evangelist, as well as an advisor to Google's Motorola Business Unit, and is also the author of 11 books. Guy is also a regular guest on the TED stages (our all-time favorite of his talks is “ The art of Innovation ”). Every year, Guy Kawasaki gives around 50 key talks at companies like Apple, Nike, Google, and many more. It adds up itself – this man has great success in tracing.

"GREAT COMPANIES EXIST BECAUSE THEIR FOUNDERS WANT TO CHANGE THE WORLD...INSTEAD OF MAKE MONEY QUICKLY."

But what makes Kawasaki so impressive to us is not his pure success, but the foundation on which he builds his success. His idea of becoming an evangelist is based on the principle of “selling the dream.” Specifically, this means seeing the task of an evangelist as shifting the motivation of a company from generating sales and money to creating history! Instead of an excessive focus on data, the evangelist focuses more on changing the world as it has previously worked. It promotes the idea that everything else will fall into place, be it money or business success – as long as we focus on the most important things first.
We at Buckle & Seam take Guy Kawasaki's advice very seriously and work daily according to the ideals of evangelism. We believe that our leather bags sell quality at a fair price without anyone else having to pay bitterly for it. Instead, we strive to add value to the lives of everyone who interacts with our products - from the manufacturer to the customer. We work for a change in the leather industry to achieve more honesty, sustainability and fairness for everyone.
