WITH THOUGHTFUL DESIGN

Functionality and consistent lines are the foundation for our timeless classics, which will last for years and regardless of fashion trends. Each bag facilitates and completes the modern man's everyday life, be it at the weekend, at the gym or at work.

FOR LOVE OF THE MATERIAL

Our Buckle & Seam leather comes from cow herds from the north of Pakistan, which was carefully selected and processed in its most natural form, the so-called "full grain". Our leather is used with all its layers and with an average of 1.6 - 2mm twice as thick and much more durable than the material of conventional leather bags. We finish our leather with a Crazy Horse finish to create a matte look and a soft surface. Over time, your bag will develop an individual patina that impresses with its uniqueness.

WITH STANDARDS FOR THE FUTURE

We have created a network of trustworthy suppliers who are visited and inspected at regular period. In this way, we maintain close contact and guarantee that the quality of our bags and the standards of working conditions are align with our values. On site, we work with our partners on new products, check the quality of the materials and ensure that labor standards are respected. Our local workers have an employment contract with social security and work in an environment that meets international safety standards. In addition to their regular salary, they receive two bonus payments per year. This means our employees can earn up to 3 times more than the local standard.

Transparency is an integral part of our values. Despite the great trust in our production facilities, there are additional control processes that enable us to quickly detect and correct errors. Our achievements include, for example: the use of 100% recycled polyester threads, as well as the increasing use of recycled or reused materials for our future collection, the collaboration with production facilities with their own water treatment plants and the digital restructuring of production planning.

Other factory owners have already become aware of us and are now starting to change their procedure.

WHY PAKISTAN?

Pakistan is a country with incredible cultural heritage, wonderful craftsmanship and extraordinary talent, which is why we are proud to work closely with them. The north of Pakistan is particularly known for its thick and high-quality leather. Before Buckle & Seam was launched, we (the founders) spent a year working in Pakistan for an e-commerce company. The relationships built with talented craftsmen from Karachi encouraged us to start the Buckle & Seam adventure.

Pakistan deserves more recognition for its talent.

Most of the leather goods sold in Western Europe are produced in the Indian subcontinent (Pakistan, Bangladesh, India). However, very few companies openly talk about it and carry out the final step of their production in Italy or France to attach a “Made in Europe” label to their products. We are proud of our production in such a wonderful country.
